CATUP

Catalytic laboratory scale-up reactor for valorizing promising results

In the LCMCE team at NIMBE, our research is focused on understanding fundamental concepts and validating proofs of concept at the laboratory scale. Although our work is positioned at a low TRL (Technology Readiness Level), some of our results for the upcycling of plastic waste and the conversion of C1 molecules derived from CO2 show encouraging potential for maturation and application. However, our laboratory scale studies clearly lack of real world conditions as their small sample size and limited range of variables that may not fully capture the complexity of these processes. The CATUP project aims to have a mini pilot reactor in the laboratory to carry out such semi-industrial studies and to further develop and mature these two technologies.
