Morphogenesis and Dynamics of Self-Organised Systems

The ‘Morphogenesis and Dynamics of Self-Organised Systems’ (MorphoDyn) team uses concepts and tools from physics to study self-organisation phenomena, with a strong emphasis on biological systems, but also on self-assembly phenomena at the supramolecular scale and the dynamics of nanoparticles in complex environments.

The team is composed of both physicists and biologists, promoting interdisciplinary research. It develops original experimental devices to study these phenomena in different model organisms and has a large number of microscopy devices at its disposal. The team also carries out extensive numerical and theoretical modelling in close collaboration with other MSC teams.
