Solvay

Solvay is an international chemical company founded in 1863, which developed the industrial process for manufacturing soda ash, invented by Ernest Solvay. The company has around 9,000 employees and today focuses on the production of essential chemicals.

Its activities cover a range of sectors, with technologies used in areas such as air and water treatment, food preservation, healthcare, textiles and improving the performance of materials in the automotive industry.

Solvay has set itself long-term environmental goals, including carbon neutrality by 2050.
