The IMMM (Institut des Molécules et des Matériaux du Mans – UMR CNRS 6283 of Le Mans Université) is looking for a Temporary Teaching and Research Associate (ATER) to join its Oxides and Fluorides team.
Teaching profile:
The candidate, a chemist with a solid background, will teach in the Physics-Chemistry BSc (L1, L2 and L3 levels) and Life and Earth Sciences BSc (L1 level) courses in general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, chemical kinetics and thermodynamics. As some of these courses are also taught in EAD, the candidate will also be responsible for preparing and following up the EADs.
Research profile :
The candidate, a solid-state chemist by training, will be involved in the ‘investigative crystallochemistry and modelling’ area and/or the ‘materials for energy’ area within IMMM’s Inorganic Materials theme in order to develop and characterise new materials for energy applications.
He/she will be able to contribute to the development of new materials for the production by electrolysis of low-carbon energy carriers such as hydrogen and ammonia or for the electrochemical storage of energy.
The candidate should have proven skills in various solid, liquid or gaseous synthesis techniques for solid inorganic materials and/or in the form of thin films, as well as in the evaluation of the electrochemical properties of ionic conductors, electrode materials or catalysts.
