Workshop: Imaging techniques for Additive Manufacturing

This workshop, taking place on 10–11 December 2026 at LMPS (Paris-Saclay, Gif-sur-Yvette, France), is dedicated to imaging techniques applied to additive manufacturing (AM). It aims to highlight recent advances made possible by a wide range of techniques, from X-ray tomography to infrared imaging and acoustic monitoring, in the field of metal additive manufacturing.
The workshop is structured around three main thematic areas:
- Process monitoring
- Microstructural characterization
- Mechanical characterization of materials and structures produced by additive manufacturing
The event is co-organized by the Laboratoire de Mécanique Paris-Saclay (LMPS) and Politecnico di Milano, as part of the Franco-Italian MONALISA project (PHC Galilée 2026–2027).
