L’ORÉAL-UNESCO Awards 2026 For Women in Science

The L’Oréal Foundation, in partnership with the French National Commission for UNESCO and the Academy of Sciences, is launching the 20th edition of the France programme to support the research work of young women scientists. Thirty-five grants will be awarded in France in 2026, with at least five grants for overseas territories.

Doctorate: €15,000 I Post-doctorate: €20,000

Eligibility criteria
- Doctoral and post-doctoral students: of any nationality, working in a research laboratory or enrolled in a doctoral school in mainland France or overseas.
- For doctoral students: must be at least in the second year of their thesis.
- For post-doctoral students: must have defended their thesis less than five years ago.
- Disciplines: life and environmental sciences, material sciences, mathematics, computer science and information sciences, engineering and technological sciences.
