Thematic School – “Nanometric gold: from fundamental properties to multiscale applications”
The deadline for payment of the registration fee is March 2, 2026, on the dedicated platform.
The Or-Nano 2026 thematic school, organized under the auspices of the Or-Nano GdR and the CNRS, will bring together researchers, doctoral students, and experts in Cargèse (Corsica) from April 13 to 17, 2026, for an interdisciplinary program dedicated to gold nanoparticles (NPs). The aim will be to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of the art and to stimulate knowledge and the emergence of collaborative projects in an integrated approach, from physics and chemistry to biology.
Program
- Plasmonics and hot carrier generation
- Syntheses and materials
- Chirality of plasmonic structures
- Theoretical modeling: from quantum approaches to artificial intelligence
- Targeted nanomedicine: methods for in vitro or in vivo monitoring of gold NPs
- Societal impacts and projections of gold NPs
Held in the iconic setting of the IESC in Cargèse (https://iesc.universita.corsica/), this school will provide a unique opportunity for exchanges between chemists, physicists, and biologists. It will enable participants to deepen their fundamental knowledge and identify new avenues for collaboration around nanometric gold.
