EvaTopCon
Self-formation of buried contact in solar cells with excellent charge extraction at evaporated top organic contact.
Solar energy is abundant and free. It can be converted directly into electricity using photovoltaic solar cells. The latest generation of these cells uses halide perovskite materials. Their performance is remarkable, with record efficiencies reaching 27%.
However, fabricating these solar cells is a lengthy process that is difficult to optimize. To enable the widespread industrialization and deployment of these advanced solar cells, it is essential to simplify their manufacturing processes. The EvaTopCon project aims to leverage self-assembly processes to form thin films and produce efficient solar cells through a simplified approach. The requested co-funding for this project will contribute to the acquisition of equipment essential for device fabrication: an evaporator for depositing organic semiconductor thin films.
