Call for proposals for ‘Industrial Chairs’ – 2026 edition
Call for projects informations
Applications must be completed and submitted by 21 May 2026 (1 p.m.).
One of the missions of the French National Research Agency (ANR) is to stimulate cooperation between public and private research stakeholders. This stimulation is reflected in particular in the ‘Industrial Chairs’ programme, which is dedicated to partnership-based research. This programme is part of the ‘Economic impact of research and competitiveness’ component of the ANR’s Action Plan.
The Industrial Chairs programme has three objectives:
- To build and structure collaborative scientific research projects in priority and strategic areas for the public and private actors involved in the industrial chair, through a strong and sustainable partnership.
- Enable internationally renowned French or foreign teacher-researchers or researchers, whether mobile or not, to work on an ambitious, innovative research programme with indisputable industrial scope.
- To provide training through research, offering doctoral and post-doctoral students the opportunity to approach research work with a long-term vision in academic research laboratories, coupled with the experience of players in the economic world.
This programme is open to all research topics, on subjects defined jointly by the parties concerned.
Funding will be granted for a maximum period of 48 months, with the ANR’s contribution matching that of the companies (cash contribution paid to the host institution).
