Thesis offer: recycling of metal alloys

The thesis will be carried out at the Institut de Chimie et des Matériaux de Paris-Est (ICMPE, Thiais) and the Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris (IRCP, Paris). The aim of this thesis is to establish the links between solid recycling parameters and the microstructure of aluminium alloys in order to maximise mechanical properties. • Supervision: co-supervised by Mathilde Laurent-Brocq (ICMPE) and Lola Lilensten (IRCP)
• Funding: application for a ministerial grant from the Doctoral School of Science, Engineering and Environment (Université Paris-Est)
• Partner laboratories: Technology University of Dortmund (IUL, Germany) for hot extrusion of recycled alloys by solid means; Civil Engineering and Mechanics Research Institute (GeM, Nantes) for mechanical testing. Stays at these laboratories are planned as part of this thesis.
