The launch of the PEPR “Recycling, Recyclability and Re-use of Materials” will take place on 31 May 2023 at INSA Lyon – Amphitheatre Capelle!

Introducing the new PEPR: “In order to meet the ecological, economic and technological challenges necessary for the transition to a circular, competitive and environmentally friendly economy, the CNRS is leading the PEPR of national acceleration strategies “Recycling, recyclability and re-use of materials”. This program, which is a systemic and holistic approach, focuses on five major families of materials used daily: plastics, composite materials, textiles, strategic metals and paper/board, but also on sectors such as batteries, new energy technologies (hydrogen, wind, photovoltaic), electrical and electronic waste (WEEE) and household waste (excluding glass and organic waste). Economic, regulatory, standardization, territorial, political and other issues are also addressed. As a result, this PEPR covers virtually all economic sectors and is accompanied by a mobilization of unprecedented resources in terms of scientific disciplines, covering the sciences of matter, physics, engineering, earth and life sciences and socio-economic and political sciences.”
