JSPS Short-term Scholarships 2026
Description:
The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is offering 13 scholarships for young researchers who wish to undertake a research internship lasting between 1 and 12 months.
Eligibility criteria:
The fellowships are intended for doctoral students or post-doctoral researchers who have defended their thesis within the last six years (after 2 April 2020). The fellowships are intended for young researchers of French nationality or young foreign researchers who have defended their thesis in France and can demonstrate at least three years of activity at a university or research organisation in France.
All disciplines are eligible.

JSPS Standard Fellowships 2026
Description:
The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) offers 15 Standard Fellowships each year to young researchers who wish to undertake a research internship lasting between 12 and 24 months.
Eligibility criteria:
The fellowships are intended for doctoral students (nearing completion of their thesis) or post-doctoral researchers who defended their thesis less than six years ago (after 2 April 2020). The fellowships are intended for young researchers of French nationality or young foreign researchers who defended their thesis in France and can demonstrate at least three years of activity at a university or research organisation in France.
All disciplines are eligible.
