Materials Chemistry Lecturer (M/F) (CNU 33)

Chimie ParisTech-PSL is offering a position as Senior Lecturer in Materials Chemistry (CNU 33)

Research Profile

The successful candidate will join the PCMTH (Physico-Chemistry of Materials that Bear Witness to History) team at the IRCP (UMR 8247 CNRS–ENSCP).

This is a unique position at the interface between materials science and heritage science, involving close collaboration with the C2RMF at the Louvre Palace, among others.

Two profiles are sought:

  • Physicochemistry of inorganic solids
  • Structural analysis (crystallised or amorphous materials) by X-ray diffraction
  • Synthesis skills

OR

  • Reaction mechanisms and material alteration
  • Development, adhesion, leaching
  • Post-treatment behaviour (laser cleaning, chemical conversion, etc.) No prior experience in heritage materials is required.

Profile Education

The successful candidate will:

  • Be involved in the three-year engineering programme
  • Contribute to PSL’s bachelor’s and master’s programmes
  • Teach lectures, tutorials, practicals and projects

Teaching will mainly focus on: Materials, analysis techniques (structural, microstructural, spectroscopic, electrochemical, etc.), analytical physical chemistry.
