Call for applications – Travel Grant 2025

The French Chemical Society, in partnership with Chemistry Europe, is inviting applications for the 2025 Travel Grant.
This programme aims to support young researchers at the start of their careers with an international mobility grant of €2,000 for a 1- to 2-month research stay at an institution located abroad (outside their current country of affiliation).
Eligibility requirements
- Be a member of the Société Chimique de France (SCF).
- Have obtained a PhD at least two years prior.
- Propose a research project (the project and host laboratory do not need to be finalised at the time of application).
Application file
- A CV.
- A cover letter including a summary of the research project and the proposed host institutions.
- A list of five publications deemed representative.
Selection and schedule
- Application deadline: before 1 November 2025.
- Review of applications by the SCF: November–December 2025.
- Announcement of winners by Chemistry Europe: January 2026.
- The stay must begin within 18 months of selection.
Additional information
Only one winner will be selected per participating national society in 2025 (France, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland).
The main selection criteria are the scientific excellence of the project and the candidate’s profile.
