HEM-CO2
High Entropy Materials for carbon dioxide reduction
The HEM-CO2 project aims at unveiling a new family of alloys that will enable the valorization of CO2 by electrochemical reduction, following pathways that would provide new design rules of CO2 reduction electrocatalysts. This work, performed through an academy-industry partnership, requires screening a wide family of materials, which cannot be requested to external collaborators. Therefore, the project relies on the installation of a set-up for on-line analysis of the gaseous products of CO2 electrochemical reduction within a device enabling transferring the knowledge acquired to the industrial scale. This will foster new collaborations within Ile de France and increase the visibility of the region in the field of chemistry for a sustainable world.
