IN OPERANDO SSB
Plateforme de caractérisation mécanique in operando pour batteries tout-solide
This project aims to develop an innovative in operando mechanical characterisation platform for all-solid-state batteries (SSBs). It combines a mechanical loading system with high-precision measurement of stresses and strains over long periods (days) under real operating conditions (argon-controlled atmosphere and electrochemical cycling). It will enable us to study directly the mechanical properties of solid electrolytes under pressure, how these properties evolve over time, and their interaction with ionic transport. We aim to elucidate the fundamental mechanisms of sintering and subsequent degradation in SSBs, thereby optimising their durability and facilitating the development of safer and more efficient energy storage solutions.
