Interfacial polymer complexation as a way for ultra-stabilization in biliquid dispersions
The project aims at studying of interfacial polymer complexation via host-guest inclusion interactions for fine-tuning and super-stabilization of bicontinuous and common emulsions. These systems provide a unique combination of large amount of functionalizable surfaces with advanced transport ability. The research strategy encompasses the investigation of the interfacial behaviour of polymers carrying host or guest moieties as well as a systematic study of the stability and properties of emulsions stabilized by these polymers, and the development of materials for application as cross-flow catalysts.
