Upcycling of plastic blends from WEEE by Architecturation through Innovative Polymer processing methods
Plastics waste from WEEE are increasing drastically and recycling is one of the best outcome possible for them. However the purity of those polymers is limiting its properties. This project aims at developing controlled morphology of the blends encountered after the sorting of the WEEE by innovative polymer processing of layer multiplying elements. Nanodomains will be created and the evolution of the size and shape of the minor phase on the impact strength properties will be investigated. This behavior will then be modelled in order to envisage optimized nanostructures for the best possible properties in order to improve the actual recycling of those polymers by having competing properties with virgin materials.
