ROCK

Research activities:

ROCK is a quick-EXAFS X-ray absorption spectroscopy beamline. Funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) under the “Investissements d’Avenir” program (Equipex 2010), ROCK is dedicated to the study of fast kinetic processes in nanomaterials used mainly in the fields of catalysis and batteries. The goal is to contribute to the development of more efficient catalysts and batteries that could lead to industrial applications in energy production and storage, in accordance with public health and environmental protection requirements.

Research topics:

• Electrochemical energy storage (batteries, supercapacitors).
• Catalysis (vapor-phase ethanol reforming, hydrodesulfurization, etc.).
• Electrocatalysis and photo- electrocatalysis.
