The Île-de-France Region is seeking, for the Transfer, Research, Higher Education, Health and Social Affairs Division, a Project Officer for the Research, Innovation and Scientific Culture Department on a four-month fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for enhancing the impact of regional research programmes, providing direct support to operational teams and serving the needs of stakeholders in science and innovation.
In this context, your responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing and monitoring two Major Research and Innovation Areas (DIM) and one Issue of Major Interest (QIM) in the fields of neuroscience and heritage, in particular by participating in governance committees, project selection and evaluation.
• Supporting networks in the scientific promotion and communication of their results, by preparing briefings, materials and talking points, and by contributing to the organisation of the 20th-anniversary event for the DIMs scheduled for July 2026.
• Lead the ‘2026 Social Sciences and Humanities Research Chairs’ programme and assess applications for installation grants for American scientists, by supporting institutions, analysing applications and drafting decision-making guidance notes.
• Participate in the organisation of cross-cutting events, notably the Health Innovation Meetings, and contribute to the implementation of tools for monitoring, analysing and evaluating research policies.
Profile
Key Qualifications: Higher education in the humanities, social sciences or natural sciences (Master’s degree preferred), with knowledge of the research, higher education and innovation landscape in the Île-de-France region. An understanding of how local authorities operate would be an advantage.
Skills: Proven experience in project management and coordination, excellent analytical, writing and summarising skills. Proficiency in administrative and communication tools (NEEVA, Storiz, office suite).
Interpersonal skills: Rigour, autonomy, organisational skills and a commitment to public service. Ability to listen, team spirit and willingness to network with scientific, academic and institutional stakeholders.
