Integration of a Micro Gas Chromatograph for Enhanced Operando Experiments

Our team at the Laboratoire de Réactivité de Surface is undertaking a project to integrate a micro gas chromatograph into our research infrastructure. This tool will allow us to perform operando experiments, a technique where we observe and analyze reactions in real-time under operational conditions, providing valuable insights into the materials’ behavior during the catalytic process. Specifically, we aim to enhance our understanding of material interactions under various conditions using X-ray diffraction, a method to study the structural properties of materials. By adding chromatography to our gas distribution system, we intend to deepen our research into material science, contributing to the development of environmentally sustainable materials. This effort is aligned with the MaTerRE initiative’s focus on material research and is a step toward advancing our knowledge in the field, with a grounded approach to scientific exploration.
